If you mean the step-dad, it didn't feel like shitting on him, more like her feeling awkward around her home. It can happen, doesn't necessarily mean she hates the guy.

And it doesn't really feel like communication issues either, just mismatched expectations. Sure, they should discuss who does what around the house, but this felt like a more mundane "I am having a shit day and everything annoys me" situation.
