- High school straight girl A, who sees herself above all other girls (basically a pick-me), goes out with an older dude who cheats on her, and she breaks up with him by slapping him comically. Morality: Cheaters are bad people.
- High school straight girl B, goes out with an older dude who abuses her, and she breaks up with him by having high school straight girl A slap him comically. Morality: Abusers are bad people.
- High school straight girl A and high school straight girl B end up as good friends, the end. Morality: Friendship is magic?
Personally, I would say, "Going out with older dudes is a bad idea".
The story with their boyfriends is something you read most of the time in shojo and josei manga. Reading it in a GL story is...annoying.
Men are trash, we know, but at least give us/them a way out. Hint to us that they at least awaken to a new sexuality. But ending up when they are just good pals... It's frustrating.
The resolution with their boyfriends... Portraying Yuna beating up the boys in a comical way, for me, is minimizing their acts, like a slap in the hands. It's empathizing more in the act of beating them than showing how horrible they are and punishing them for their acts. Like, "lol a girl beating up a man". That is... irritating.
