Marie's type were jerk men, because she was trying to fill the hole left by the absence of her dead brother. Who was a jerk, but always came through for her in the end.

Mangaka left out some exposition from the villains at the party after they left from the LN. But it was kind of obvious.

Marie is definitely a brocon, but what I'm curious about is how life might have turned out if Leon didn't die. Let's say he just gets hospitalized and she still gets kicked out.

Would she still have dated losers chasing the shadow of her brother? Or perhaps Leon would have stepped in sooner to keep her from dropping out of school.

I have to imagine he would have stepped in and kicked the shit out of her abusive boyfriends at the very least.
