You are attacked by a wild beast, the king is down and severely injured, and you are wounded. You are the only thing that stands between the defenseless princess and the beast and you are no match.

Suddenly a stranger steps in and quickly defeats the beast. He offers to help the wounded king. What do you do?

Still wary of the stranger you stand between him and the princess. But decide to let him try to help the king since you don't have anything to lose. After all the worst case scenario where you let him help is the same as if you don't (the king dies).
After the MC saved the party from the beast, showed no malice, and provided medical treatment for the king. You'd think that the knight would drop the over the top suspicion. It is interesting for comedy but makes no logical sense.

Also you can't complain that the guy watches you like a hawk over your sholder after you told him he could do just that. Not that someone with out any medical background would be able to tell if he was making a poison or cure anyway.

There was a typo where "venom" was used instead of poison.

he's expecting for them to tell some info aside from their situation so it's not really a charity for him to be called a saint
