Was gonna say the same just for shits and giggles.Wife has been eating those corpses.
lol while cannibalism is a dark thing that can happen you'd think ppl would want 'fresh' corpses versus someone that's already buried (and, other than 'easy access', you'd think she'd target someone not in their family lol)Wife has been eating those corpses.
Maybe she had an affair and then the baby needs those corpses. Or... she is some kind of necromancer with a monster baby. The father probably stayed guard after refusing MC, got caught by the wife, and then killed.I get the belief that the wife isn't the cannibal/corpse eater but the baby. He specified about babies of different species thus it's probably not human like them.
Even in non fantasy murder mystery fiction such things also possible like in CSI series. Was gonna say the same just for shits and giggles.
A FANTASY murder mystery story where magic exists? Abandon all critical thinking.
In a fantasy mystery, the author could easily just randomly say a never-before-seen shadow monster hiding in between the cracks of a dresser was the culprit.
Expect the most insane answers, anything goes with magic. I ain't even gonna try to analyze the mysteries.
Perhaps the requirement is of certain bloodline and it just happen to be theirs. Thanks; interesting you can buy holy water as opposed to going to a church and being 'served' it for a fee or so versus needing to carry it on you as an adventurer
page 7, "their" @ruubei

A clever author with meticulous foreshadowing, consistent world building and storytelling could weave masterful tales. Let's just see how this one's fare. Was gonna say the same just for shits and giggles.

There's a possibility of this as well, we are already thrown to a world outside our logic by showing us magic exist. Yes Mrs Snow might eating the corpse but perhaps because the baby inside might be cursed or perhaps a ghoul already. Still its already obvious it was the wife, the only plot hole is to how she dug the graves by herself.would be wild if the culprit is the still-unborn child
