It's relatively new with only a few titles along this specific premise, but it's just the latest iteration of the "kicked out of my adventuring party but I'm actually stupid OP" as it can ostensibly take place in "the mundane world" and is less power fantasy than it is more grounded wish-fulfillment & revenge porn (sans porn (usually)).

I personally welcome it. Been reading manga for 20 years at this point, and the long-standing trope of "doormat MC that lets the women around him abuse the living shit out of him without him freaking out" is one that needed to die a long time ago. While full on revenge porn is a bit much, at least we're finally getting MCs with a backbone. One day we'll get a author that can actually write coherent characters so it isn't as over-the-top like what we have been getting so the "revenge porn" aspect isn't as apparent.

Or at least one can hope.

I'm with you on that, actually. I've dropped many a series because the doormat MC trope is just infuriating to read.

Luckily the world of manga is vast and there are genres that don't fall into that sort of writing motif for characters, so there's plenty out there to enjoy - but I do look forward to the day that romcoms are written with characters that act like actual people.

I don't see why she wouldn't be tho... misguided to be sure, but irredeemable? nah, she actually gives a shit but doesn't realize she's being a piece of shit. (lacks self-awareness) Like we can clearly see, to her it's just their thing, not realizing it actually hurt MC.

Also... wouldn't the gyaru be worse if she is actually a hoe getting with old guys for money?.... (Going of her own words it's true, my theory is she's lying tho).

So if gyura can be in the harem then so should "piggy" as you call her.

As fo Aya, the gyaru. She is faking everything she does at school and around "friends". She is actually a really nice and hard working girl like her Manager said in this ch. She has no boyfriend or fancy clothes and accessories. She only say those stuff to stay on Ruas good side, to have an easier life in school.
Kazu notices this really fast probably next ch, and they become good friends at work.
Then after Rua shows up and misunderstands their relationship, she tries to get her raped/killed... But Kazu saves her which makes her fall in love with him.


Btw. Rua basically sabotages herself all the time with her actions which in the end always result in Kazu getting a new love interest. Happened with Ayame as we saw, and will happen with all the other girls

The problem is that you're welcome to self-canon Rua as a viable romance option for this title, but unless the adaptation author changes the source material, she's written as the foil to the ML and an antagonistic force who's not meant to be "redeemable" by virtue of being the one-dimensional character she's designed to be--namely, the super rich, super spoiled, super conceited, super vain, super bitchy former "childhood friend/keeper" of the ML.

She only exists to be the force that tries to harm/screw with the heroines of the series, and the ML Kazu isn't even the "protagonist" so much as he is the superpowered "force for good" who protects the heroine main characters from Rua and her grandfather/the other assholes in the school. The thing about Kazu, is he's more just the lens the reader sees the world through. It's why he's literally "S-tiered" as per the series title, but also fairly one-dimensional in his own way.

Also - why would the gal be "worse" just because she potentially had a sugar daddy? I hazard to say it says a lot about you if you're claiming that a "hoe" (unfounded claim) is worse than the spoiled rich girl who abused the ML all throughout his childhood and is generally a conceited stuck up brat who only thinks of others in terms of how she can use them to promote/elevate herself.

Think you missunderstand Kazu and his actions. I'll put it in the spoiler tag just in case, don't remember if it was explained in detail in this few ch.

Think about him basically as a robot on auto pilot. He didn't stay quiet until now because he wanted to, he was build and programed to do so from a very young age. Mind controlled is a good term.
The words she says in ch1 are the thing that frees his mind, and now he has a ton of emotions he doesn't really understand. So yeah you can't blame him for anything if you think about this.

Later he tries to talk some reason in the grandpa, and the cousin, but it does nothing. They are scared of him, as you saw in ch1, but not enough to leave him alone or change.

The pig is another story, he constantly tells her to leave him alone, insults her in her face, but this just makes her more wet lol

That barely even fits with how they're portrayed in the manga so far (Dumb and dense, but not straight up vile).

They've hinted at a redemption aspect... but seems that's not only false but she's worse than the obviously irredeemable characters from other stories. To the point it's hilariously stupid tbh.

If they don't change it for the Manga I'll probably drop.

Not her being an LI, but what she tries to do... so stupid and unhinged, just makes her evil for the sake of being evil... quite boring to be honest, and just too nonsensical... relying wayyy too much on plotamour instead of just being an interesting story.

Quite disappointing tho... this had a lot of promise, but it's just going to be dumb plotarmor relying mid bs.

What was even the point of her character if they just give up on writing the as a character and instead just use them as a forced mechanism for over the top drama and forced stakes... Would've been more believe-able or at least less on the nose if it was a dude crushing on her doing it instead.

So when I say better option, I mean the idea that they are legit dense, and lacking self-awareness, and actually care for the dude... not whatever the fuck this is actually going to be revealed to be, that's nonsensical. It's not even yandere it's just dumb.
