I cant really see how Iiya is related to Celcilia, when Anz had been with her fora quite the while. But then I started thinking.. what if Ilia is something like a homunculus made by Cecilia?. yeah, I sure theres some proof on the body that links her to Cecilia then. Its definitely not a reincarnation. Timelines dont add up. Other than that ?? Yeah shes the successor if the Stone has really chosen her, Both Illia and Eddie reacted pretty "clearly". Then you had Illia asking Anz that weird question of "do I know you" on the rooftop some chapters back. That would mean the shard/stone has selected her as the replacement witch (shes also wind attribute for compatibility if that hints not enough) and the shard holds memories or maybe just feelings from Cecilias time.

Guess theres only 2 options I can think of with the information given to us.

@mommy If not for her loosing her life to protecting aniz, or protecting him from his power. You really think its better if the "top witch" just rolled over and kicked the bucket for no reason at all ? Or maybe she just mad a huge blunder like an idiot and get herself killed ? or maybe you hope she was betrayed and killed or ganged up on by other witches ?
Its kinda obvious by now, shes the caring mother type of exile/abandoned children.

I like to think that if the headmaster is loyal to her, he will make the princess kick the bucket
