Thanks for sharing!Funnily enough, Barcelona's senior team under Hansi Flick's system heavily relies on freedom rather than rigid structure.
We also have Como under Fabregas going away from positional play.
Just wanted to share these fairly new analysis:
In my opinion, a more fluid system is better when you have players at the level Hansi Flick has. Still, this is more applied for when your team has the ball. Even Barcelona defends in a structured way.
Rigidly structured teams are better for less-than-stellar players. That's why we see a lot of teams that are not the top talent doing really well in the main competitions.
And we have coaches like Carlo Ancelotti that use both approaches, depending on the roster he has on his hands.
