Ok look I really fucking hate the “I’ve had at worse than you so I can now disrespect you freely”. I get looking down on your opponents if they’re shit but looking down on them as people when you know fuck all about their life is crazy. And as soon as you make fun of their lives and what they went through they’ll it take it personally as if they didn’t do anything to start it, which no one has by the way but if someone does then I bet they would. Football isn’t based on your sad stories in the past this isn’t college with affirmative action for crying out loud, and while I do respect them for working hard and getting through that they should at least have some decency.

my god these la masia kids really love to pretend that they're all pisspoor living in a war torn country. spain has the same gdp/capita as japan lol
But Argentina's is about one third of Japan's / less than half of Spain's. Which, for the purposes of this story, is exactly Romeo's(?) point several chapters back about strikers needing to come from abroad -- according to him, the Spanish are too soft to attain the highest levels, because it's not life and death for them. Hence him also mentioning specifically the cases of war/abuse/poverty that invoke the exemptions that even allow them to bring kids from abroad to the club in the first place.
