Fun fact there was actually a strong link between modern day occultism and feet. Occultism had been dying out due to Christianity but in the early 20th century two girls pretended they could communicate with ghosts and attracted a lot of news and restarted an interest in occultism and mediums. It turns out they were Faking It by having one of the sisters hiding and cracking her big toe very loudly to pretend as though it was a communication with a ghost.

What I find interesting about this manga is that you’re always on edge, thinking that Ibara-san is going to do something really nasty to the MC and the FMC, but in the end, she just keeps playing little pranks on them.

At the beginning of the manga, I thought it was going to be one of those manga where the villain is actually evil and makes the victims do really absurd things. But I think I’ve gotten used to the fact that Ibara-san just likes messing with the MC and the FMC, embarrassing them in some way. Not that what she does isn’t bad. But it’s not nearly as bad as I was imagining.

I get the impression that Ibara-san is more interested in helping the two of them get together after realizing they like each other, playing Cupid, rather than trying to do anything bad to them.

I expected the mangaka to draw out Atobe actually touching Amakawa's feet for MUCH longer.
