I totally agree. I decided to read this because the cover reminded me of Otoyomegatari, myself.

The actual resemblance between the two series is only really the clothing styles, though (and the fact that Amir and Luca are both badasses). The art styles and the story genres are quite different (at this point there's not really much of Balkanalia to judge yet, but it feels a lot less "slice-of-life" than Otoyomegatari).
