Do you guys think the series got axed because of the gambling content? I think Japan is more strict about that stuff though I'm not sure

I thinks its the interest for it waned as time passed. The stories pacing is slow and the fact that after chapter 34 for each month, not 1 chapter but half a chapter was released. It took 3 years to reach this point so I'm sure for a lot of people it felt slow and dropped it.

Okay I dropped this manga when it suddenly became a power of friendship crap when they got the sword. Can someone give me a very short TLDR on what happened after them getting the sword.
Series had great potential but they screwed it up

Huh? Weaponizing the power of friendship is a fucking cool concept, how do you even hate that?

I get hating the other parts of the story but hating the concept of Sword of Bonds itself is the stupidest fucking complaint I've heard since it whate made this story even move.

It encouraged the characters to learn about each other and in turn be able to trust each other when they're at their lowest point

Plus the combine feature which made them uber strong is fucking badass and the fact that they have to work for it (ie trust each other) to even use the god damn thing is what made it a good concept.

In my eyes, the problem was how they handled the sword itself. Bond (the shota) for one was a fucking useless addition.

There are many problems with the story but the concept of The Sword of Bond was never one

I tihnk a problem with the bonding sword was it was too quick to them being able to bond to that level. Should have been a longer term thing as we see them all learning to trust each other (And not just MC to another member like all the members to each other)

goddammit, stupid ln ad... the series goes well for years and still gets a stupid axe, I remember the same happening with machine doll, over 50 chapters and still a sudden end in the middle of the series 😢😢

Ah, and I was just starting to fall for the union gimmick and characters. The art has also gotten really good. I haven’t been following anime, but if the LN does well, this is a great concept for a JRPG. Reminds me of DB fusions. They could easily sell me this as a well made game with the unions being centered around your relationship between characters

Man, sucks it ended so abruptly. I really loved the art style for this and wished it continue, oh well. Btw you can buy the manga in english if you wanna support the author and artist. Just make sure its the manga and not the light novel, though you can buy that as well.

Cant wait to see if the artist does another series. His art style really was fun to watch.
