hm i'm not surprised that she lied(?) but wouldn't be surprised with the random idol(?) dress if there is still a bit of emotional baggage (i mean i'm sure a parent would get mad if you throw away with something super expensive but i'm surprised she wouldn't have done it herself if not just keep it in her own room b/c even as a 'doting father' having an outfit on display is a bit odd imo versus a framed photo she drew as a kid in comparison lol, if it's not something passed on by her mother)

I wouldn't be surprised if some ppl exaggerated how badly they get along with their parents but even if ppl are like "my mom /dad hit me" other than like anything that looked really bad i don't think teachers really get involved /report it because being slapped isn't necessarily the same as 'child abuse' but i guess it can be tricky (not to mention bratty ppl that would just scream about it in public but i don't think it rarely leads to like arrests bc actual abused kids would be too scared to reach out for help)
