I was wondering if the culture festival concert scene was anime-original or what!

Actually, this is kind of sad, because it implies that the anime isn't getting another season for sure, since they took something from so far into the manga plotline and incorporated into what would hopefully have been Season 1.

Exactly. I watched the anime first, then I read the english translations, then I read the raws to finish. Imagine my shock to find out they were pulling content from anywhere in the manga, rewriting entire scenes and basically crammed 70 chapters worth into 13 episodes. It was a one and done deal, they never considered making a second season. I actually enjoyed the anime but the last 4 episodes I watched, post reading the manga, it was glaring how awful the packing was. It sucks because 12ish episodes are the norm now. If they had done an actual full seasons’ worth at like 24 episodes, it would have slowed down the pacing and give them room to full animate the whole thing in one go but alas…
Wait.... there is a sequel?!
I wouldn't really call it a sequel since it goes back in time to add more content to their high school days. It expands on events that already happened in the main storyline. So far, there’s 6 chapters.

Thanks for the translations, another cute chapter 🥰

Yeah, they skipped a lot of Keisuke's side story (I think they completely cut classmate-chan) and I think they shifted some of the Aizawa stuff earlier besides the festival stuff. It's one of those "sad that it happened that way but better than not happening at all". Considering anime adaptations it could have been much worse and at least got some people to read the manga like you.
