That story is quite interesting. Artists can be eccentric and borderline abusive (mentally, physically, sexually, you name it). Most normal people definitely would react against that type, vilify them, antagonize, and stay away from them like the plague. I get it.
Still, as a reader and lover of art, I can't help but appreciate all sorts of characters and stories, regardless of how far away from the norm they are, to put it lightly.
This is a really good manga.
