She seems to be a supernewbie, from what we've seen so far. MC at least appears to have a fairly extensive general rpg/mmo knowledge base.I can't fathom what they're trying to do by presenting the healer as someone who can't do jack in a fight.
There's no source material to check, either
At first glance, either healing is entirely based on levels/stats, and she's got a hella gimped start by not earning any other starter skills. She seems to be a supernewbie, from what we've seen so far. MC at least appears to have a fairly extensive general rpg/mmo knowledge base.
It's an unorthodox method of determining healer, but raising your magic stats while avoiding causing damage shunting you into a support role does make some sense. Presumably it's a character type you can really only get into when you're in a group, or perhaps it's based on luck? ...or you get healing skills by completely not fighting. Which looks very odd.

You only implement that kind of mechanic when there already is a way to contribute to a fight under those conditions, like a support starter weapon.
The only feasible way to do it with the given points is to repeatedly block and trip enemies, a far more technically difficult role that will qualify for defensive skills rather than healing anyway.
