To the ignorant, a decent read. To the people that know things, pain
-_- alright so I feel like I should make this comment, the author/artist hasn't played many games.... the stat system is fucking irrelavent and doesn't play much importantance to the story beyond saying the mc has higher stats than normal people, literally levels are just a suggestion and honestly not a big deal.... until you see some item abilities and reasons why no one else is heavily exploiting key features..... also the lack of non-humans in this mmo upsets me. The mc doesn't think as much as he should, and by that I mean he could be making way more creations.
And my final three notes, the author doesn't do enough research on the subjects they are writing about. The author doesn't know much about rifling and how muskets normally work (it's a hyper realistic game.... with stats.... and you turned off the auto aim of a cheap gun). The author doesn't know how explosives work.... anyone that actively plays war thunder will know what I'm talking about when they see that chapter

Since Reaper Scans (english tl posters) got hit with a Cease & Desist from Kakao Productions (or whatever it's called), they decided to officially shut the site down. It has something to do with this since the MangaDex ReaperScans account was deleted.

It's pretty sad honestly. It was standing for 6 years when all of a sudden gone. All gone.
Then which group is gonna take it now?
Genuinely I don't think any is. There's too much raws. Probably like third rate websites still have the Reaper Scans' re-uploaded.

Asura took all of Reaper's Overgeared chapters and are going to continue it. So it just varies by series.
I say good riddance. Reaper scans puts memes in the TL notes and it's distracting. It has made me drop a series before.
Also I stopped reading arcane sniper after the war arc (season 3 end I think) and honestly the war was a slog to get through and I skipped a lot of chapters because it was all filler crap. An entire chapter of the captain of a ship telling people to turn port and starboard and nothing at all happening. Another chapter on the ship of the first mate arguing with the captain when the MC suggested a new plan. Ugh. It's not a bad read up until then but it's the typical story where the MC plays the game differently than other people and that makes him so super special because out of 200 million people before him he's one of the only people to figure it out. He earns stats through achievements so he's so much stronger than anyone at his level and all of the achievement popups keep telling readers he's the first ever user to accomplish X or whatever. It's a story where the MMO money is real money and the MC whines about the won value of everything. I wish they just cut that half out and kept it about the video game. Sure make him poor in the game, but why do koreans obsess over getting rich by being the best at video games? I also dislike the stories where the MC has unique gear no one else can get and they're special because they keep snowballing and never share with anyone around them. Makes sense when items are money but it also shows how greedy literally everyone is.

Turning off CAS isn't even a unique thing to him. When he meets up with his cousin they talk about how their guild mates tried doing the same thing and the archer couldn't outperform it and just gave up and turned it back on. Given how every korean male goes through military service, it just makes no sense to me why that class is underutilized. A rifle guild could wipe the floor with anyone else. The guns have longer range than magic and can one take down bosses. Reloading speed means nothing at that point.
Also why on earth is he the only user to ever make traps in the whole series? There are magic traps mentioned but other than that no conventional traps. Even in the war arc they don't build any trenches or defenses beyond the walls.
