Right so instead of using his powers and foresight to help everyone before things even get this dire he gets pissy about a few people taking action and decides to screw everyone?
The fuck did he even do the first time around? He admits that he has no idea what really went down with the groups and we saw him with a bloody bat at he very start. Did this fucker go around robbing people too?
They have got no influx of resources, everything thats in the building is all they will ever get, hoarders are literally killing everyone.

You dont seem to understand how grave their situation is.
They are trying to keep everyone alive as long as possible in hopes itll be over soon some antagonistic crackhead is a massive liability. They didnt even fight over a difference in opinion or allegiance, he just went "I dont like you guys so fight me" cause hes genuinely mentally disabled.
And now MC and the guy are literally trying to steal the food so everyone starves to death Actual fucking monster.

Doesn't the arctic winter last forever and him letting his powers be widely known means he will be manipulated or targeted along with those around him?

Whats to say the committee won't imprison him and treat him no better than an animal if they think there's a chance he will go away or be kidnapped by others? Or do you expect his power is able to feed everyone in a 25 mile radius?

That's not even counting for the problems of heat and defense.

It's not always possible to help everyone and everyone you help won't always have the best intentions.
