In Chinese and Japanese, 8th grader syndrome is "中二病" (middle-school second-year syndrome), so I guess the tl shortened down/missed the middle school part. Also, I assume that because she's physically on the smaller end and so somewhat looks the part of a middle schooler, hence "little loli".
