Are the Reader Settings saved to the account or not?

The default reader settings is:
-single page shown
-make the page fit both in height and width

I almost always change that to:
-long strip page view
-fit the page only to width, with max pixels width set

Been doing that every time I come to the site (probably because I reset the cookies everytime the browser reloads),
but since I've now created an account, I was wondering, can those "Reader Settings" be saved in the account? or should I still set them right every single time?

The content filters are account saved, it seems odd the reader settings aren't

Solution
Most (if not all) reader settings are device specific and are not backed up server side. This is simply because the reading experience between devices (i.e. a desktop computer and a phone) are very different.

If you're logged in, the reader settings should be retained. Not sure if that happens on the browser side or the server side, though, so that may play in as well.

(Perhaps a friendly staff member will be by to give a better answer shortly.)

As far as I recall, login and preferences that don't belong to Settings (like the message from some time ago that was related to security that you dismissed with "Yes, I understand") are kept on the user side, meaning if you clear data & cookies they're gone. I still remember Bravedude saying "stop cleaning your data" to solve that problem.

That makes sense, so since the reader settings are saved "by device" they are probably saved into the site cookies in the browser (which I wipe by habit)
Thanks for clearing that up
