A lot more people need to read this manga. But do yourself a favor and skip any chap where Akatsuki is in focus. The guy is a creep.

Finally found it (not that I was really looking for it, was just browsing for sci-fi anime)! The various anime adaptions are absolutely my all time favorite anime ever. Can't wait to read.

Ok, I'll say this: If you came from the anime first, while the anime does closely follow the manga, it doesn't exactly follow it. That said both versions of the story are well worth reading/watching.

For a sci-fi series it really has a lot of fantastical elements especially with the Cait Sith chapters. While I have some criticisms of it I think it still nails the most important thing in a slice of life series, it makes you attached to the characters and the world they live in. And the art is also very nice to look at. As for the critique, I feel like some of the characters were unrealistically perfect like Akari or Alicia. Or how some of these "wisdom phrases" as DFM1412 put it feel often quite heavy handed. I would have in many chapters preferred letting the story itself explain the messages rather than having the main characters spell it out to you. I think Yokahama Kaidashi Kikou does this so much better.

Still I enjoyed my time with it and I would recommend it to any slice of life enjoyer if it looks even remotely interesting to you.
