Looking at this authors past works I understand why it gave off Claymore vibes.

bruh this is completely in contrast to claymore, for one thing claymore has almost no comedy or fan services etc. so i take it as an author doing some soul searching by doing a different style of series.
its like nihei doing that tower dungeon thing recently, a first time he does fantasy instead of sci fi
