I’ve had mixed feelings about this one for a while, I dropped it once I realized this was gonna be a harem. I had a decent time with it in the beginning thanks to the art and absolute edge. I’ll give this another chance and watch the first episode of the anime when it comes out.

I've actually not read the manga yet, but I completed the novel, so let's see if the manga is decent enough. Thinking about perhaps re-reading the novel after this as well, was two and a half years ago when I last read it so I think I would be able to enjoy it again.

It's really a good novel, just receives too much hate because it made people expect something else. Many wanted just an edgy hateful and revenge-driven mc but got pretty much a normal mc with a slightly unusual attitude. The overall story is something I rather enjoy, easy to read and nothing that serious, just standard wish fulfillment that manages to not make me hate it.

It's hilarious how unnatural and stupid the hatred for the mc is. Everyone hates him because some girl talks to him a bit and perhaps likes him? Get over yourselves, that's just pathetic. In the real world, stuff like that is truly way too rare because people couldn't care less. Why are they acting as if he's NTR-ing their asses?

Also, amanogawa kouki always makes me laugh, he was ridiculous in the novel, ridiculously stupid that is. I wonder if he's as much of a deluded moron here in the manga? Well, he pretty much proved himself to be in this chapter, he actually claims the mc is fawning over that girl, I think he's not only retarded, he's also blind.

so I finally decide to read the manga version. I forgot how much of an asshole literally everyone is. Although in another context, MC getting singled out for getting popular girl attention is pretty damn normal. While those other cases have been minorly grating (perhaps because they're done in a comedic romcom setting fashion), this one just gets my goat for some reason.
