Why did they just straight up skip an entire arc? Like presumably they're still gonna go to the empire but coming back to the Sea of Trees and meeting Princess Altina doesn't happen until after they finish their business with the empire. They first went to the Sea of Trees to both drop off the Haulia and captives they picked up and to check out the dungeon enterence situation. But the door had a time sensitive window to when it can be opened, and it would still be quite a few days until the next one. So they do the empire stuff first, then come back once the door is ready to open.
