Iaijutsu is pointless in a duel. It's never going to be faster or less predictable than having your sword out from the start. But this series thrives on ridiculous explanations for skills, like how techniques are written being related to how they can be combined. And it's part of what makes it fun.

Fking finally. The bat girl fight is the worst. There is almost nothing interest about her fight, and the fight interest only be carried by the "monster" opponent.

Even if we ignore the whole no arm guard for a bat, what else the bat can do? Blunt dmg? Thrust? Almost anything a bat can do, a sword would do better. Well, since no one here wears armor so blunt dmg is not needed much.

And the bat fight techni is just bat and poke...

That is not to say about her innate power "call for help from downed allies". Bruh, and the help are almost useless because the allies don't use sharp weapon too, lmao.


And now let's look at her motivation. She reads fast, invited to baseball club and then join a gang because of her friend. Now she does bad things because of her friends/ gang. Sounds like a push over and a wet paper. I rather watch paint dry than see her fight again.
