Good that the kids are running around laughing and smiling, only children to find the joy even in the fact that they are marooned on an artificial island.
There are so many of these kind of esoteric conversations, but I find them to fit far better in this series than most others.
I think maybe because most series when they start with the "esoteric" talk, they kinda not just sidetrack from the main topic of the story, they go so far that you can't even connect what they mean.
And many writers mistake "lots of complicated words" with having meaning.
Here the talk is pretty simple and leads directly to what the characters intend, in the president case "I am curious and want to light things on fire a bit".
