Is this, like, a reportable offence? It feels like they have no intention to continue uploading newer chapters here while also preventing other groups to work on any project they had uploaded

If art lapsa deletes the chapters in a series after they gain some traffic, it shouldn't count as 'sniping' if someone decided to work on the abandoned series, right?

Just don't pay attention to them, and if they complain about someone else 'snipping' them (which is always stupid since you can't own something you're effectively stealing) then you can tell them to screw themselves.

Edit: Also, just to clarify, since I suspect some of you might be thinking I'm specifically defending them, I'm not waving the flag for art lapsa or anything. I obviously prefer and appreciate the groups who do things for free. I'm just saying I don't feel I'm entitled to them.

Not sure how you guys are so comfortable on your high-horses when you're reading a bunch of translated copyrighted material for free. If you don't like a given group's work or practices just don't read their stuff, and definitely don't pay them for anything.

Not saying I'm a fan of paywalls, I like reading stuff for free here as much as anyone, but when I find stuff that isn't free I just look for something else instead of trying to tear other people down.

the worst part is that actually respectable groups won't pick things up if they think someone else is translating them, for fear of "sniping"
that and the horrendous quality, one of the chapters they uploaded recently literally has all of the pages cut in half

I'm not picking a fight/battle, just giving my opinion. Not everything needs to be a fight or an excuse to dogpile because someone dares to have a different perspective. Though I see opinions aren't welcome here. Fair enough, this will be my last post on the issue then, since I'm evidentially unwelcome (and 'dumb').

Still not sure exactly what you're laughing at here good sir (I'd type out your name but I would 100% spell it wrong). But whatever, clearly it is 'dumb' to have a difference of opinion on what constitute the moral high ground when we are all getting free access to intellectual property. I am aware of the hypocrisy of my getting involved in this when I complain about others having too much time on their hands, but I am what I am.

When a person or group carries out activities that would be generally regarded as harmful, shutting up about it is the worst action you could take. You're as good as endorsing it. So, yeah, block, report, and comment here. If they want to profit off of this then they should be ponying up for the rights to publish, not abusing the rules of the fan community to try and milk it.

They upload the first couple chapters of tons of manga then link you to their website where they have 1 or 2 more chapters behind a coinbased paywall, that's annoying by itself. But the most annoying shit is how they never actually finish any of the manga they take on. Everything they do is just to bait you into coming over to their website and spending money on coins.

They have dozens of manga partially translated, but only 1 single manga actually completed lol.

I was wondering about that. I understand paywall but the non completion was annoying. No point in even considering buying coins if the series won’t be finished. Some I have been watching for uploads and seen no changes for well over a month.
