I hope that Arte will continue her portrait paintings since she put her heart and soul into it ... And I think that she has to be true to her heart and not listen to the naysayers... And thanks for yet another chapter.. 😉

But it's common right to have multiple master? I mean even leonardo Da Vinci himself have multiple master too so he can advanced his career. But again, if the mangaka wants to include some sort of romance between Arte and Leo then welp ://

Reminds me of when Henry the eight married one of his wives (can’t remember which). He picked a woman who was incredibly beautiful in a portrait, but when he actually saw the person he realised she was actually very ugly.

The painter just painted her very beautifully because he was being picky and wouldn’t choose anyone

Afaik, Renaissance italy don't have mathematical modeling that founded by Euler. Addition and Subtraction should be stated with word at that era not using symbol.

"Don't you worry!"

I'm worried!
Man, oh man... so many feels in this chapter.
I wonder if the author will make Arte a renowned portraitist, because really people, she is NOT Artemisia!

@Sparrow75
I think these was common before photography.

@Skepticium
I also noticed the mathematics but I don't have the knowledge to talk about that.

@Skepticium I don't see anything out of place in her math homeworks... If you are referring to the lattice multiplication method, it was reknown in Europe since 1300, and we have example of it in books printed in Venice in 1478 and 1494 (source: this wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lattice_multiplication, where you can see the exact same picture). Since Arte is handed a copy of "Stultitiae Laus" by Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus, printed in 1511, she can also know the multiplication method

I hope that she don't gave up on her dream because of him, a relationship should help you to improve yourself and not be the graveyard of your dreams.

@Beregorn not multiplication lattice but the statement of the mathematical problem. Instead of look like a sentence that state the problem with words it was rather look like mathematical formula with addition and subtraction symbol.
