Am I crazy or was this not a flashback? Or am I confusing this with another story?
I remember it was about a black haired wimpy dude and a big tiddie blonde gyaru lady already being married in the beginning as adults, and then the husband gets kidnapped by a black haired otaku girl who tries to rape him.
Then it goes into a flashback to them as teens in high school. Is it this story or I am getting misplaced deja vu?

Pretty sure that's not this one (none of what you described rings any bells, and they're not adults), but I'm with you in that I have no fucking clue what the flashback was meant to show with regard to her and the MC. Might have to re-read the earlier chapters to see if it starts making any sense, I guess that's what happens when there's 5 months between updates lol.

Holy fuck I was seeing this story thinking it was the flashback arc of the Gal Wife story, only now did it click that it was another story entirely.

she's either a girl he liked when he was younger or something along those lines, he got ostracized for openly liking girly anime and her either denying her connection to him or talking crap behind his back (I can't remember for sure what it was now) caused him to develop a trauma and withdraw into the gloomy otaku that avoids real girls he was at the start of the story. The flashback was meant to show that she regretted it so much, it eventually made her isolate herself from everyone else completely, into a hikikomori that would earn her money herself and game all day. She found him again through the game, got close to him there as his best friend/"mentor figure" and completely derailed off the deep end into a yandere

Throughout the story we've had mentions/flashbacks of her being the source of his trauma, plus for awhile we've had this up-until-recently mysterious "master" character who plays online games with the MC who has been hinted on being possessive/obsessed with him.
I wouldn't exactly call it out of nowhere.
