More like enby I think.

They mention "X gender". It's used in place of enby or genderqueer in Japan.

While Ren uses primarily masculine language, it's unclear what they identify as. Being called "Ren-chan" (girly suffix) doesn't seem to bother them.

I respect how this subtly conveys what it's like to try to come out of depression. You can mimic the behavior of a cheerful person, to an extant. But the little things that used to make you happy don't ring anymore. Those CDs, the drawings, just feeling flat and uninspired.
