I personally know an ugly fatass otaku that gets girls, so I believe it's about how you present yourself. If you think you look atrocious, it shows. On the other hand, if you're confident in your appearance, you wouldn't get anyone you want, but still a sizeable amount.
Wakaba's judgement is clouded because of her emotional state: she was forced, boyfriend is not how she pictured himself to be, she doesn't want to toy with a good guy. Her initial conclusion may change as the time goes on, in both directions.

You know I love the MC but loath the FMC yes I understand she's in a tough spot but the entire time, I felt that "she's going to complete go through with all of it and only feel bad after he's hurt" but I suspect the MMC just going to be expecting it when the shoe drops and they go the separate ways, she would have to do a lot of making up for me to even have a glamour of favorability to her.
On the Intimacy, yeah you can be an awesome person but because of your looks many will not like you romantically, what going to happen here over is she is going to grow to like him because of familiarity but because she's a coward, she's going to continue pulling away because it goes from "I like you as a person but am force to put up an act" to "I have romantic feelings but all of this is a sham" and boy oh boy the sister and his friends are properly not going to like this not even a micro-bit.
ALso to Add:no homo, I want to protect haruto's smile, dudes too good and deserver a hell of a lot better than how's he's being treated and honestly fuck the bullies, her classmates and even her for being this low.

He's a really good guy. I was a little wary of his comments about 2D women in the first chapter, but it's so sweet how respectful he is of her boundaries. Despite his nervousness about dating, he has a really great attitude. I loved his response to the little kid who accidentally called him something rude. I know it's inevitable he will get hurt at some point, but I think the best-case scenario would probably be him helping her to build up her confidence, so she's able to stand up against the bullies for both him and herself.

@gustavus if all he was, was an otaku, then yes, but he's shown to be attentive and caring to those around him. He's got good social skills so his otaku-ness is more a hobby than the stereotypical personality type. It's more fair to say he has otaku interests but if anything this chapter shows he's willing and able to rein himself in for the sake of the girl.
@emMeBi86 when he's introduced he's said to have a reputation of being 'fat ugly and gross' (ch1) but because of the limitations of this art style it's hard to gauge how ugly exactly he is. He has no obvious deformities or anything of that nature, which leads me to believe that his weight is the major issue here.
As long as we're throwing out predictions, I'd like to see her tell him the truth about why she asked him out. Likely he'd break off the relationship then, more so to spare her than out of any sense of indignation. I have a feeling the bitch who put her up to this is gonna end up spilling the beans first though, like there'll be a scenario where she's bullying the girl and he steps in to defend her, only for the bitch to come out and reveal their relationship is based on a lie she forced for her own amusement. After that we probably get a confessional from the girl and they'll work things out. Maybe a time skip occurs and he decides to lose some weight and we get a happy ending where he's a normal sized guy this time winning the girl over genuinely and they live happily ever after lol

Ron Jeremy would like to have a word with you. Not all women put attention on your face. It may be your money, or power, or status... And not all men care. Relationship isn't an exclusive word that means only one thing.
As for the MC in this story, if we're talking fluffy rainbow bunny love or friendship then that relies on trust which is the first thing she broke (even before speaking to him). So it really isn't up to her what kind of relationship she wants with him. She will have to come clean to the bullies first if the story is trying to be realistic.

The Heroine is learning more about the MC, and that's good. Her trust in MC is slowly growing, and identifying a line in her relationship is good. She's not romantically attracted, and that's 100% OK. Literally know like, nothing about each other.
MC is also a solid character. He's kind, and looking out for others. His inexperience with romance naturally makes sense, and that made him impatient. He may "squirm" every now and then, but that too boils down to inexperience. I'm fine with that.
I suppose I just hate the overall starting line. The fact that this relationship stemmed from the girl being bullied. Heroine also just annoys me even though she's technically done nothing wrong. I've never been bullied, so it's hard for me to relate how "hopeless" she feels with her situation.

i can sympathize with both sides of this relationship. the MC is misunderstood but that will be cleared up with interaction. i also sympathize with the girl, poor girl. being bully target that causes isolation is the worst, if you have no support for your situation it can break you. unlike @MelReinH, i was bullied. it was lonely and terrible.
BUT the bullies just shot themselves in the foot, because the unwittingly gave the poor girl a way out. the MMC is going to help her with confidence and stuff.
yes they will have to deal with the fact the relationship started from bulling prank. but it can become something grand.
