I'm gonna go into "spoiler territory". (Quotations as in I don't speak japanese but have seen some of the raws coming up)
The upcoming chapters seem to grapple with Asako wanting to get closer with our MC when he is young. Young MC is wrestling with feelings that he doesn't know that they are (feelings of love) and it looks like he "rejects" Asako. The chapters then shift away from the flashbacks toward our MC in present looking for Asako. He finds that guy who was stalking her in the earlier chapters (in prison), and finds a classmate who was "close" to Asako during high school. From what it looks like, Asako was being physically abused by her father and Asako stabbed him. Looks like she escaped into the country side where young MC was to hide. Lots of drama, again, I can't read any Japanese, only from what I see from the raws.
