I read the same setting web-novel as this manga on Kakuyomu (it's also Yuri) , the only different is the one who got killed is the Demon Queen not the Heroine. In that story the Generals and the Demon Queen also aim for world domination. And the Heroine also has her memory of her past life and goes to the same school as Demon Queen to find her.

If you like the idea, have a look at Bokura no kiseki - similar premise, though I think it takes it a lot more seriously than this (at first glance, obviously). There's even a hint of yuri in it, though just barely a hint (sadly).

I would like to think that if there were to be heavier tones that it would have been laid out from the start. The generals certainly seem to be depicted as that kind of "backseat evil" (i.e. "not actively") side characters are usually given. It gives me a similar baseline vibe as Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet, though without the heavier slapstick tones from that series.

I actually really really like it. The first chapter set the tone and we got a "i love her and loved her even then" kind of trope, which suggests a possiblly good pace in terms of yuri content.
