Nearing the end of this story and I'm still astonished by Joe's devil-may-care attitude.

So he's not punch drunk, at least not yet. Him avoiding that doctor might be the big sign of something to come.

Joe is really riding that high from becoming champ, pretty much annoyingly so, but he IS proving it to em that he got it. That encounter with the world champ probably gonna start some fireworks
