Not much, I just know it's very popular and a classic. There even weird isekai spin off from the series. Looking back such heavy and serious series being perceive as silly 90s action is hilarious.

So a story about this - my sophomore year of college, I was coming back down the side of a mountain on a county road to campus with a friend. We'd been hiking around the forest for the afternoon, and it was getting dark. A raccoon ran out in front of the car. I instinctively swerved, and the entire steering column of the Pontiac 6000 I was driving fell into my lap at 35 miles an hour, shifting the car into park and killing the engine in the process. Thankfully, the car was pointed toward the side of the road that was going UP the mountain (allowing me to get stopped in the ditch) and not the side that went DOWN (where the only thing visible was treetops - I'm thinking it would have been 40 or 50 feet at least to the bottom).

I don't swerve for small animals (anything not at least hood high) anymore.

I have only drive for two year, so I don't have misadventure so far. Beside I never travel that far. Travelling far alone a little scary. I feel like @athayanezant have a lot of stories like this, she travel the whole Java with motorcycle after all. I'd like to hear a story or two
