And that's why you don't lie in cases like this, you don't want to end up like this cretin. Bro was so afraid that she'd be a little sad, that he decided that lying would be a better option, potentially telling her that a shitty product is good and giving her false info, creating larger problems for her in the future.
Assuming he's in love with her, wouldn't the best option be to tell her that he hasn't tested it since he doesn't have a partner to do so? It gives him a perfect excuse and informs her that he's available. But of course, the author makes it out to be like the MC never thought about this interaction before, and had to come up with something on the spot.
Imagine that you're in love with someone, they ask you for something, and you can't do it. You'd think about it and how to solve the issue, right? Yeah well, not him, clearly. He just accepted it and didn't give a shit until she asked him about it. Maybe the author actually forgot that the characters don't just travel in time to the next panel he created, but actually have a life between them. Seems like poor writing to me, with a classic issue of "time stops outside of the manga panels" without any thought of what the MC would do in his free time, and why they didn't think about this.

So that's great, I already don't like the MC. I can tell what he'll do in nine cases out of ten, since he's a generic Japanese virgin character. And that's also precisely why I don't like romances that begin with one side in love with the other, especially with an MC like this. Dude can't even have a fucking conversation with her. I'd already tag him as a dangerous weirdo on her place and keep my distance.
