Seeing a lot of comments about how dumb and boring this is. Also questions as to why MC or Crow didn't kill Abe.
MC should be dead about 6x over at this point. Between all the injuries he's taken over the past week and the fact that the only "rest" he's gotten in the past week is the times he's been unconscious. And those two things are not the same. Even before Amelia got elfnapped he was running on fumes and now it's even worse. The fact that he did this well should be amazing but the author just totally dropped the ball on writing it that way.
As for why Crow did nothing, as Abe said, he's old. How old is old? Spoiler levels of old. ->As in, nearly dead from old age old. Nearly two hundred fifty years when your lifespan is eighty level of old. Has months, a year at most, levels of old.

Spoiler: Personal Opinion based on LN.

This is near the end of book 2 of the LN. It feels just as forced in the LN as here. It is probably the weakest part of the 4 books that are out. Personally I'd rate the series 5 or 6 out of 10. It is solidly mid. Not as bad as some, not nearly as good as others.
