It's much more interesting than the standard chinese works, the face slapping is still there but it doesn't feel like every chapter is progressing from one face slap to the other with no rhyme or reason.
Unlike the usual trash you'd find this one is a good time waster to read.

It seems interesting but it relies on constant action and cultivation to keep your attention which is killing my drive to read it. Instead of going the nonstop nuzlocke monster action, I think they'd do better if they were more focused on training, other characters PoV, more lower tier battles instead of bruteforce bs, and less of that cultivation bs of "you have offended me by hurting my kin, for that you must perish!"

This is a generic xianxia with a pokemon gimmick (but later they start merging with the pokemon in battle).
If you have no idea what xianxia is, give it a try, you may like it.
If you've read more than 2 xianxia series, it's the same shit, except the power system is less tangible because there's a lot of variables, but none of them are fleshed out in a way that makes sense other than "MC touched it, therefore its OP."
