okay, assuming Asura will say "yes, i made those people disappear with this key", how do the police proove he's guilty?

Unlike Light Imagay, I don't see Asura actually do anything to the police for investigating that.
I can't tell what he is going to do as a response, given that it will likely depend on the way the police interview him, but Asura holds himself to be a good person and doesn't see what he did as wrong at all. It could go him calmly admitting to doing it or the cops asking the wrong questions and get offtrack, but deliberate manipulation and mindgames from Asura aren't going to be a thing, he is completely honest after all.

Depends on the story but sometimes 'authority' figures and the JP equivalent of like the FBI/CIA/etc might have a 'paranormal apartment'/supernatural hunters/etc

But other than the author preferring Asura getting off scot-free i imagine it'll be an 'ironic'/fitting ending for him to also just end up in hell at the end/sacrificing lifespan if he doesn't also turn into some demonic freelancer who continues punishing ppl for centuries

statistically/storytelling wise there's prolly at least one corrupt cop/detective, if them not having some thorn in their side they can't get rid of legally that asura makes 'disappear'

Still expecting a chapter where he gets manipulated into killing someone 'innocent' and not realizing it before it's too late
