Hell yea this is what I've been waiting for - different conflicting approaches to "justice" and what to do when you have the power to mete it out. I'm guessing Sumiyama knows someone who escaped punishment and took the chance to better themselves - it may even be himself. Either that or he's much more sadistic than he appears, and would rather criminals stay alive so they could actually experience their punishment. But I think I'd like it better if he's someone who makes Asura question his current ideology.

It's kinda refreshing that Asura isn't some sort of schemer, he's a zealot who genuinely believes in what he's doing and doesn't see it as something to hide.

I do half expect him to be assigned some kinda guard who’ll see him do the power in front of his eyes (well irl police prolly don’t bother /have the resources but this is a manga), if not them being “saved” by him or so

That said wonder if he’s gonna try to at least bulk up/gain stamina bc we don’t know if the key couldn’t just be taken by force and if it’ll work if someone else uses it versus it “zapping”‘back into his pocket

If not some plot twist of him being tricked into sending someone innocent to hell

Well, we already know he's the only one who can remove the key from someone's forehead. Since the mark on his forearm appeared after he used it for the first time, I imagine anyone can use the key while it's unclaimed, but the one who does first gets exclusive use rights to insert and turn it, too. I don't know about stealing the key, though. It might indeed just teleport back, since it's a supernatural key, after all. But the thing is: other than the third goon in Semetani's group, nobody who's seen the key in action has lived to tell the tale.

I’d think there’d be other “key holders” tho idk if it’d work on each other assuming one’s just corrupt and just doing it for their own gain versus “justice”xP

But yeah like I said I still expect him to be tricked somehow then again someone who was bullied for so long can prolly tell if someone’s “bad” just by looking in their eyes or some bs to justify it

I like the detective character, hopefully they don’t do the cliche of killing him off.
