It would seem that the more things change, the more things stay the same. And the piling "hallucinations" might actually end up being the key to resolving all of this--even as it makes her enemies' moves more unpredictable as they also start to react to all the iterations layering over, so too will her allies begin to shift--and as we see here, "new connections" will form, creating new opportunities and bringing new potential solutions to light.
Remembering his friend this early in could be a real boon, and kickstart her plan and 'schedule' in a way that's never happened before. Plus him saying it out loud like this...well, helps greatly, since if this fails (and assuming she gets to try again), she'll retain the information.
This romance->time loop calamity direction was jarring, but I'm liking it more and more. Especially as it's got a bit of that "eternal" aspect to it--no matter what loop, no matter how things reset,
Sensei is Sensei, and the point of their convergence persists across time and space.
