the amount of weird subliminal bullshit they put into their communication is mind blowing to a european germanic speaker. It's like 'oh, that person said they liked this thing - surely they actually hate that thing, and that was a subtle insult to me, because if I had been more attentive I would have noticed from their cues that they didn't like it.'
Yeah, to someone who's national trait is to be borderline autistic (swede), that is actually almost impossible to wrap my head around. It's like there is a whole logical step missing. It reads like an incomplete equation or literally the ??? -> Profit meme.
In this chapter the love interest says to the MC that she actually wanted to go on that date with her.
That leaves me, an autist, completely confused. It's presented as almost a plot twist, or at least as important information that the MC didn't have earlier. But im sitting here like 'yes, of course she wanted to go on that date. She went on the date, after all! if she hadn't wanted to go on the date, then she obviously wouldn't have gone on the date!!! I feel like im taking crazy pills!'
