I appreciate that you've clearly taken some steps to try to massage the translation so it reads better(*) and your typesetting is remarkably good compared to a lot of other mtl, but sometimes there's no escaping the stilted dryness that comes from using it.

Shino's panic makes this really obvious. Take the last page: she's in the middle of fainting again due to being overwhelmed. Should the text really just read as a flat 'Impossible.'? On page 2 she's mortified but she's going over the situation in her head with almost perfect calm like she's a textbook reading. This is the biggest problem with mtl - it just doesn't really pick up the context of what it's translating. It ends up jarring and kind of... boring.

* Shino's name changed to Shiho for a few pages but she got better I guess.

I want to say this is, sadly, not a snipe, at least not in the way that I see it most commonly used.

The original scanlators, Sciencyscans, have dropped basically everything* they were translating.

The lack of a note by the uploader is a bit more of a faux pas in my estimation. Being generous, I will grant that what happened/is happening to Sciencyscans is something that people who follow their translations likely have heard about the, so they might not have felt the need to explain the situation. However a note about it would have been nice for anyone who wasn’t already in the know.

*My understanding is that they are still doing series that they were the official translators for. Though I’m only aware of one such series, which is not this one.

No problem. As I said, since there was no note from the uploader, it’s definitely understandable why’d you think it was a snipe. Especially as the fact that SciencyScans dropped most of their translations isn’t mentioned here at all. Unless if you were looking for specific information about the group (as I was when I found out) you’d have no way of knowing.

yh the new translator for gyaru to gyaru no yuri mentioned in a chapter that sciencey was doxxed by someone (someone else said it was specifocally cause she was translating gyaru to gyaru)

Her account really is gone. That sucks so bad, whenever she picked up a series I used to treat that as a mark of quality to at least try it.
