Usually fictional media, be it movies, videogames or comics, don't depict violence towards children (explicitely at least). You don't see children in first person shooters for example. You don't see npc kids in videogames where you can kill all characters you see. That's because we see children as frail creatures who needs to be protected at all costs.
This is also the conclusion of this manga, however the author has decided to show that violence, instead of only describing it with words. The shock value is much more intense in this case, however sometimes you wonder if there's always the need to be

I see why some people might complain about violence porn, but again the author has been thus far very explicit about all sorts of human society vices and perversions, and I respect that he decided to go full in there.
as long as each chapters onward are not a variation on child sexploitation, it's still a very interesting manga, story- and graphic-wise
