I'm not sure to be honest...maybe they are "imaginary roots", they are not "real". I even have some doubts Fuji was still alive when they had sex, but who knows for sure.

Yeah no be careful Shunga for any discussion on reddit. People will be really weird in their spaces there. Still though, I will say this arc hit me the most. It was constantly on my mind. It was so tragic, the creation of the circumstances that allowed for the tragic romance and the lead up to their deaths was so sad. All they wanted was to express how much they meant to each other like legit couples and at every turn it couldn't be completed. Until it was and the price that was paid was their lives

Yeah, I know. In fact I usually don't post much there. I used to do it, but you can't really say anything, so I mostly post my releases at this point.

What an absolutely insane arc. Thank you so much for translating this. A long time ago I discovered the raws for this manga scattered here and there and leafed through it with no understanding of japanese whatsoever. Fuji is way more sympathetic even though he's still a serial killer, in that he really was going through his own thing. Nazuna looked like she was evil, but it turns out she was kind of normal (such as it is) and just finally rubbed their resident murderer the wrong way despite calling him her brother in front of the other women. And of course mc Hosen-sensei accelerated the situation just by joining in and being a nice guy, and Tsubaki pulls everything together. Incidentally, the short-haired lady doesn't have a death scene illustrated in a panel... I wonder if the mangaka just wanted to wrap things up. It's unlike him to have off-screen deaths, I mean, just look at the first arc.
I know it's two years late, I sure wish I'd caught it. Love reading the tl notes as well. Actually, having an internet mod twist your words and then ban you is such an antique experience.
