Honestly I didn't like the mask design at first but its kinda grown on me. It was particularly creepy in this chapter. I'm not a fan of unsubtle "systems" like this in stories but whatever. The mask is more interesting than a text box and has a bit of personality.

I like the choice to go with pigasaurus lol.
