One of the very few mangas that talks about serious societal views and heteronormativity and addresses the homophobia laced with kind words and the whole support thing that's not genuine and all the "you'll settle down eventually when you grow up", "just haven't met the right person yet", "it's just a phase", "you're too young to know" crap. I wonder if the mangaka is queer themselves.
"Whether it's Yuri or BL"? Yikes here comes the fetishizer, an immediate red flag when someone decreases a real relationship to Yuri or BL, especially straight men with Yuri and the very normalised creepy straight women with BL/Yaoi.

If anyone has any more recommendations for manga like this that actually directly addresses LGBTQ+ concerns in settings like this, I’d be interested in checking them out.

I'm late as fuck, but if you want to read a manga that's about dealing with identity, sexuality and feelings in general I recommend Kanojo ni Naritai Kimi to Boku by Takase Umi, it's mainly focused around a trans woman and a straight woman but touches on other aspects as well and is a beautiful story.

Hell, thanks for the recommendation even if it’s late. I haven’t heard about this one before, but I will be reading it as soon as I can. It sounds great!
