For all the imagery, this series is weirdly averse to sexual dialogue, so I was less surprised by Mei imagining Suzu mid-coitus than the line "literally defiling the ayakashi medium".

Mei really is cut from the same cloth as Suzu in the end. She just needs to be more honest with herself (maybe in another hundred chapters).
