@Kida @starburst98 It's much easier. Such anime are advertisements for characters and since the player always associates the MC with himself, such shows often avoid showing the protagonist as a potential "other male", or lower the level of romance in the show. Remember the anime IMAS and how they lowered the ship tease between the girls and him. Plus, if the anime had Shikikan, it would quickly turn into harem and favoritism for certain characters. Well, about the last one, they did it anyway, lol.
