Nope, it's Something something himo something. The FML are also a Knight captain or something similar while the ML are an unemployed middle aged guy who pamper the FML when she's not on a mission, but mostly just mooching off of her most of the time.

Depends on her (or her race's/society's) cultural perspective I guess.

If it's kind of like hugging a cute pet (eg: fluffy happy golden retriever) instead of a potential other sex, that makes it a lot less creepy.

Could also be that at her age elves are still considered toddlers, and the reason she needs so much affection is because of that. But has learned to keep it private because of scary stranger adults and need for food.
